Seller's comments and description: his car has been an ongoing restoration project since 1991. This car has always been garaged and only has 50 miles on it since restoration. This camaro was not a frame-off restoration, however, the entire frame and firewall was sand blasted and/or stripped to bare metal. As seen in the photos, the car was also sanded down to bare metal and then primer sanded before the new paint. The paint is new and there are no chips, scratches, or dings. It never had any rust whatsoever.

2010 chevrolet equinox review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Redesigned for 2010. introductionthe chevrolet equinox is redesigned for 2010. That makes this the second generation of this crossover suv. Though sized more like a midsize suv, the equinox has pricing and features of a compact suv, though now with some luxury and technology amenities not expected in its price class. the redesigned equinox is about the same size as the outgoing model. But it has different styling inside and out and two new engine choices. Thanks to direct injection, it now has more power and gets class-leading fuel economy of 32 mpg on the highway. It has similar power numbers at 264 horsepower, but it feels much less powerful than the larger v6 it replaces. It is more carlike than the pre-2010 models, with less lean in turns. It's not sporty, but it's on par with its main competitors, including the honda cr-v and toyota rav4. The ride is also quite good. We found that with either the standard 17- or available 18-inch wheels, the equinox absorbs even sharp bumps without disrupting passenger comfort. inside, the equinox has an attractively designed interior. There are some nice amenities, including ice blue ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, a hard-drive audio system, a dual-screen rear dvd entertainment system, and a power rear liftgate. The front seats are comfortable and supportive, and they have 10 inches of travel, so drivers of all sizes with fit. The useful multiflex rear seat carries over. While the last model's handling was too sloppy for many, that problem has been remedied, making the equinox a player in the entry crossover suv market. the 2010 chevy equinox is offered in ls, 1lt, 2lt and ltz trim levels, each with front-wheel drive (2wd) or all-wheel drive (awd). The transmission is a six-speed automatic with an eco feature that alters the shift points to increase fuel economy by about 1 mpg. also offered is a 3. 0-liter v6. The available navigation system has voice recognition and comes with a 40-gigabyte hard-drive, premium speakers and a usb port 2,145). The rear dvd entertainment system comes with a screen in the back of each front seat and the usb port 1,295). safety equipment includes dual threshold front airbags, curtain side airbags, front side airbags, a tire-pressure monitor, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, hill start assist, traction control, and gm's stabilitrak electronic stability control. A rearview camera and rear park assist are optional, and we recommend them. All-wheel drive enhances stability in slippery conditions. walkaroundthe chevrolet equinox is a small midsize crossover suv that is priced and equipped to compete with compact suvs. The equinox uses a longer version of the theta architecture that underpins the saturn vue, but the new model is about that same size as the old one. Theta is updated from the first-generation equinox, and that's a good thing because the outgoing model didn't handle very well. The upcoming gmc terrain will use the same platform. up front, the equinox features chevrolet's now-signature two-tier grille with gold bowtie insignia. The headlights wrap around the front fenders. Air ducts sit below the headlights and, in models so equipped, they house fog lights in chromed bezels that bisect the openings. The lower front fascia is charcoal-colored plastic and it has an air dam in the center. The ltz model and the 2lt with the chrome appearance package add metallic trim pieces to the lower portion of the air dam opening. The hood has three character lines and is shorter than the last one because chevrolet moved the base of the windshield forward three inches, creating a more slippery shape. The new equinox has a 0. 36 coefficient of drag versus the 0. 42 cd of the outgoing model. around the sides, the equinox has pronounced fender flares and a wheels-at-the-corners stance, especially up front. The roof features wraparound side glass at the rear and tinted rear and rear side windows. All but the ls model has luggage side rails; they're charcoal on lt models and they add chrome inserts on the ltz and the 2lt with the chrome appearance package. That package also adds chrome door handles and side mirrors. Seventeen-inch aluminum wheels are standard and 18- and 19-inch wheels are available. at the rear, the equinox has dual round taillights, a takeoff of the malibu design, and a roof spoiler. The tailgate opens upward, and a class-exclusive power, programmable tailgate is offered. Owners can program the tailgate to open to different heights so shorter drivers can reach it. Overall, the look is attractive. The ltz's additional chrome trim adds a touch of class, especially with the chromed 19-inch wheels. interiorchevrolet says the equinox's interior is inspired by the interior of the successful malibu midsize sedan. While that may be true when it comes to aesthetics, it's not true in terms of execution. Instead, like the toyota rav4 and honda cr-v that chevrolet benchmarked when developing this vehicle, the equinox has hard plastic on the entirety of the dashboard, as well as on the center console and door panels. The available ice blue ambient lighting is a delightful feature. Ls models have it on the center stack surround and in the center console cupholders. Lts add it on the instrument panel and center console, and the ltz also gets it in the door handle recesses, in the footwells and in the doors' map pockets. The speedometer and tachometer feature white numbers and black backgrounds. They are set in large pods and in between are water temperature and fuel gauges, as well as a digital trip computer readout. The base interior has a storage cubby at the top of the center stack. When the navigation system is ordered, it sits in this spot. The controls on the center stack are grouped in a tight bunch, with the radio buttons up top and the climate controls at the bottom. With the navigation system, there are 43 buttons, dials and knobs. It's a bit less confusing without the navigation system, but it's goin.

2000 chevrolet suburban review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The more things change, the more they stay the same. introductionchevrolet suburban has been completely redesigned and re-engineered for model year 2000. Its interior is all new and improved, but feels familiar. Its new engines offer substantially more power. Its rigid new frame and re-engineered suspensions offer excellent handling and ride quality. Last, but certainly not least, the brakes have been totally re-engineered for vastly improved pedal feel and stopping performance. soup to nuts, the suburban is a more refined vehicle than before. Three trim levels are available, base, ls and lt. Suburban 1500s come equipped with a 5. 3-liter v8. The 2500s come with a 6. 0-liter v8. (a diesel engine may be available next year.) retail prices for 1500 models: 2wd 26,421); ls 2wd 33,844); lt 2wd 37,912); 4wd 28,375); ls 4wd 36,760); lt 4wd 40,828). All come with air conditioning. Ls and lt come with power windows, rear air conditioning, a compass and remote keyless entry. Moving up through the trim levels brings nicer interiors: ls gets a nicer cloth reclining front bench seat with adjustable lumbar support; bucket seats are an option. Lt is fitted with leather seating surfaces and premium full-function heated front bucket seats. Lt also comes with electronic climate control, premium cd stereo, the homelink universal garage door opener and gm's onstar system. Otherwise, the primary functional difference is that lt comes with chevy's premium ride suspension. walkaroundthis new suburban looks strikingly different yet familiar at the same time. All the sheet metal is new. The entire vehicle looks smoother and more aerodynamic; sharp edges have been rounded. Most noticeable are the new headlights. two tailgate configurations are available. A new lightweight one-piece rear hatch similar to those found on compact suvs is useful for families and can be opened with one hand. Cargo doors are also useful when pulling trailers because they will usually clear the trailer tongue jack. The hinges have been re-engineered for a more finished appearance; and they let the doors open wide without having to disconnect the hinges. an innovative puddle lamp mounted below the side mirrors shines down to light up the perimeter of the suburban. It's a nice feature that can be turned on using the keyless remote when approaching the suburban in a dark parking garage as it illuminates underneath the vehicle. Chevy suburban is nearly identical to the gmc yukon xl, which was called the gmc suburban until this year. interiorseating has been cleverly designed. The third-row seatback folds down without having to remove the headrests, then the whole thing flips forward to substantially increase cargo capacity. A short prop rod locks it into place. This bench seat can be easily removed as it's mounted on wheels; it weighs 75 pounds, however, so get some help before pulling it out the back end of the suburban. Loading cargo is easy because there's plenty of space for it; lift-over height is lower than that of the ford excursion. Lt's leather seats are better. The second row is quite comfortable. Headphone jacks allow rear-seat passengers to listen to cds while those up front turn on the radio. Getting back there requires folding and flipping the seat out of the way. though my mother-in-law found getting into the suburban a bit of a step up, it isn't a problem for those of standard stature. Step-in height is actually lower than before because of the new fully boxed frame. Driving quickly over wet pavement through the san juan mountains high above colorado's delores river, we never lost traction. I took turns driving the suburban on the wet, winding road with the road test editor from one of the major enthusiast magazines. Each of us has extensive racing experience, but we were unable to get the suburban to come unglued. We drove into wet turns as quickly as we'd ever want to go in a suburban and never lost grip. The frame is completely re-engineered. The entire front part of the frame is hydro-formed from one piece of metal and is far more rigid than a bunch of pieces welded together. ride quality in the suburban 1500 is smooth, greatly improved over the previous-generation suburban. The optional premium ride suspension features a hydraulically controlled rear self-leveling system to keep the suburban at normal ride height even when carrying heavy loads. This system offered a good ride quality on the suburban i drove. The more sophisticated optional auto-ride suspension system uses computer-controlled shock damping for improved ride quality over uneven pavement. Whether towing a horse trailer or picking up a soccer team, auto-ride continually adjusts the suspension for optimum ride and handling. This technology also helps reduce dive on braking (so that the nose of the vehicle doesn't dip down unduly) and body roll (or lean) during cornering. most people find the 1500 models meet their needs. The 2500 models, often referred to as the 3/4-ton versions, are only needed for those who tow heavy trailers. Rated to tow up to 10,500 pounds, they effectively match the towing capacity of the ford excursion. Suburban 2500 is going to ride a bit harsher because its rear suspension uses leaf springs instead of the coil-springs used on the 1500. But the 2500 rides surprisingly well, given its load range, a big improvement over the previous-generation 2500 models and smoother than the big ford excursion. until now, suburbans came with mushy brakes. Gm redesigned the brake system to address this. The pedal on the new suburban works smoothly and progressively, which makes is easier to stop smoothly. Brake pads and rotors are 40-percent larger and use new twin-piston calipers. Those in the sunbelt may not see justification for it. These new vortec v8s offer a 30-percent increase in power over their predecessors. Suburban's automatic transmission comes with a tow/haul mode. Pushing a switch on the end of the column shifter changes the shift points of the transmission. The tow/haul mode improves performance while towing and lessens wear on the transmission. Even whe. summarywe love the suburban. It's a great vehicle for moving cargo, towing trailers, hauling people.
